We, Zephyr are a student-run organization, who aim to provide Menstrual Education to the upcoming generation in a gender-neutral, liberally more interactive environment. We feel that all children regardless of their gender should be taught about such a concept together, this will enrich a more sensitive and empathic society.

We believe all menstruators can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Aim

Our Aims

  • To encourage the use of reusable and eco-friendly sanitary products that have been tried and tested by our team members.

  • To propagate the acceptance of periods by encouraging children to embrace their bodily processes and to not shy away from them.

  • To provide Menstrual Education to the upcoming generation in a gender-neutral, liberally interactive environment.

  • To diminish the spread of myths related to periods. To stop the current generation from carrying forward the connotation of period blood being impure or dirty.

  • To eradicate the stigma related to periods and to build an environment where periods can be discussed without arousing discomfort and hesitation.

Our Approach

  • Since we are of an age group closer to the students In schools, we believe that children are more likely to open up to us and feel comfortable in our presence

  • We aim at educating both boys and girls together about menstruation, so that openness about the concept can be inculcated from a young age.

  • These days the average age for menarche is falling and more and more girls are unaware of periods when they first get them. So we would like to provide basic education to them at ages 8-9.

  • We would like to engage students in activities to make them believe that periods need to be embraced not shunned
